Overview
The production, directing and editing of this DHL charity video was all led by myself with input from a copywriter to help structure the video and provide questions for interviewees to answer. The intended audience for this video was DHL staff, prompting them to get involved with the Foundation.
This was my first time being so involved in the entire process, as usually I see the footage when it gets to me! This was a great opportunity to maintain my vision for the project throughout every step. Working with teenagers provided extra challenges, but having a great team around me helped stay focused on capturing all the content needed for the edit.
Using the DHL UK Foundation style
These graphics here are examples of the artwork that I made for the Foundation, which they typically run with for other comms. However this video, had to appeal to a different audience. The illustrative and educational look was still considered by bringing in similar illustrations into the video, keeping the same typography and using the yellow background.
Below is the original storyboard, which was produced to show how the style would run throughout the video and the ideas for the different scenes. Filming in a live work environment meant that some ideas could not go ahead and quick thinking on the day, led to slight variations in the original plan.
